Little Bao

Little Bao held one of its earliest pop-ups at Clockenflap, so it’s fitting that the much-loved local eatery is returning to the festival to celebrate its 10-year anniversary.

Hailed for its ingenious blend of Hong Kong classics, American comfort bites and Chinese street food, Little Bao is best known for its signature “baos”, which re-imagine the classic Chinese steamed bun into a burger filled with an assortment of mouthwatering ingredients such as slow-cooked pork belly, Sichuan fried chicken, and braised five-spice shiitake tempeh ragout.

Eggslut

Founded in Los Angeles in 2011, Eggslut has taken Hong Kong by storm since launching in the city in June. Now the cult chain is making its Clockenflap debut with their wildly popular Fairfax Sandwich.

Years

With five restaurants in the city, vegan lifestyle concept restaurant Years has been busy turning Hongkongers on to the wonders of plant-based cuisine, and they’re bringing some of their most popular creations to the festival for hungry Clockenflappers to enjoy.

Sustainable Initiatives

This December, Clockenflap will introduce a reusable cup programme, with the aim of reducing its single use plastic foot print to a bare minimum. Any plastic from festival outlets will be PET 1 recyclable, handled by the Festival’s partners at their recycling facilities. Festivalgoers will also be encouraged to bring in their own non-glass water canister, which they can refill for free at the festival’s water fountains, care of Life Solutions.

Through messaging at stages, and on screens across the site, Clockenflap will encourage its attendees to support the reusable cup programme by depositing their used cups at the illuminated cup return points across the festival site and next to bars.

Most food containers used at Clockenflap will be 100% compostable with  food suppliers prohibited from using plastic packaging and cutlery. Furthermore, the festival doesn’t allow plastic straws, stirrers or landfill-generating gimmicks from sponsors.
