AI, Bitcoin fail to impress billionaire

Charlie Munger, the billionaire vice president of Berkshire Hathaway, said AI appears to be getting more attention than it currently deserves, while labeling Bitcoin as the “stupidest investment.”

At Zoom’s recent Zoomtopia conference held from October 3-4, Munger expressed skepticism about artificial intelligence.

”I believe it’s receiving an excessive amount of attention, and it’s likely receiving more attention than it merits,” Munger said, according to Fortune. While acknowledging the importance of AI breakthroughs, he remains unconvinced about its “exaggerated” potential, cautioning against unrealistic expectations surrounding AI.

Regarding cryptocurrencies, he bluntly states, “Don’t get me started on Bitcoins – that was the stupidest investment I ever saw.”

According to Munger, cryptocurrency investments are destined to be worthless.
