The AA said the flights that are being affected are mainly from, or bound for mainland China and Japan.
Herman Chung, a deputy general manager with the authority, advised travellers to check the latest flight details online before heading to the airport.
He added that the Airport Express line will be suspended in case of a higher storm signal, and people heading to and from the airport should plan their trips ahead of time.
“The Airport Express is now operating normally but bus services are limited,” he said.
“If a higher storm signal is issued, the Airport Express service will suspended. Travellers arriving in Hong Kong may then need to take longer to arrange transport to go into the city.”
The authority and a number of airlines said they have deployed additional manpower to assist passengers at the airport.
Shops and restaurants inside the terminal building will also extend their operating hours to cater for a surge in demand.
