Lamma Island will set the stage for live music acts, market stalls, workshops, and a variety of lifestyle events during FORESTFEST. The day-long festival will be held at OpenSpace on January 20 from 10am-11pm, and will see some of the city’s most popular local bands and artists perform across three spaces, and will also host family-friendly activities and crafts stalls for visitors to enjoy.
There will be 17 musical acts that will perform throughout the day. Indie rockers Shumking Mansion and country music quartet Yung Shue Wan Curs are among the artists who will take the Main Stage, while acoustic folk singer-songwriter Todd Warner Moore and psychedelic folk artist Kieran Colvert will play on the Acoustic Stage. Barnaby Bruce will bring his mix of jazz, Afro-Cuban, soul, disco, and balearica beats to the DJ room, and Jungle Jim will get the crowd moving with his hip hop, DNB, jungle, and bass tunes at the same space.
FORESTFEST will also give visitors a chance to attend acro and hula yoga classes, courtesy Yoga BamBam, and participate in fun percussion sessions by Drum Jam. Children can sit in on puppet sing-along shows and go on walk-abouts conducted by Treasure Chest Theatre, and get henna tattoos at Sara’s Henna booth. There will paintings by Namita Thawing on display, as well as handmade crochet crafts by Grassroots Future.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite and are priced at HK$280 (adults) and HK$200 (children under 12 years old). Visitors can also buy family tickets that cost HK$660 for two adults and one child, and HK$800 for two adults and two children.
