Carnival sets marathon pace | The Standard

Runners can get into a pre-race vibrant mood before this year’s Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon on Sunday. That’s possible with a four-day carnival on the Central Lawn of Victoria Park in Causeway Bay.

The carnival opened on Wednesday and is open to people without charge. It features many photo-taking spots with fun for families, including a Runners Wall listing all 74,000 participants in the races.

The carnival also features over 30 booths with games and attractive items plus a display board highlighting the 28 local NGOs participating in the Marathon Charity Program. Through offering charity runner quotas and fund-raising activities the program has so far raised over HK$4.4 million to support people in need.

The carnival run until 9pm today. Then it’s open from 9am to 3pm tomorrow.

Marathon participants can also collect runner’s pack at the carnival.
