Vote next month to improve HK’s governance: John Lee

Chief Executive John Lee on Tuesday called on people to vote in the District Council polls next month, saying every ballot cast can help make Hong Kong’s district-level governance more effective.

399 candidates will take part in the December 10 elections, and the CE said he’s expecting the electoral atmosphere to heat up in the coming weeks.

“Voters, please remember to vote on the polling day, choose the best candidate. Your vote will enhance the governance of the District Councils and will be conducive to good governance,” Lee said before the weekly Executive Council meeting.

He reminded voters that two polling stations will be set up in Sheung Shui to facilitate those who are returning from the mainland to vote.
