Two firefighters unwell after warehouse blaze

A third alarm blaze raged for more than five hours on Tuesday at a warehouse and recycling site at Lau Fau Shan.

Two firefighters who felt unwell were taken to hospital.

The fire broke out at the facility on Deep Bay Road at 1:09pm. It was upgraded to number three alarm about 10 minutes later.

Authorities put the blaze under control before 5pm, and said it was largely put out at 6:34pm.

Officers evacuated 37 people. They used four jets and mobilised four breathing apparatus teams to fight the fire.

One of the firefighters taken to hospital has been discharged.
