One more bronze added to SAR’s wheelchair fencing team

Hong Kong won a bronze in the women’s wheelchair fencing sabre team event on Saturday at the fourth Asian Para Games in Hangzhou.

Tong Nga-ting, Yu Chui-yee, and Lam Ka-man defeated the team from South Korea 45-29 to win a spot on the podium.

Lam gave the SAR a strong start with a 5-0 lead. The second round then saw Hong Kong fall behind, but Yu was able to then pick back up the lead in the following round, eventually earning them third place.

Meanwhile, China took gold, beating Thailand 45-20 in the final.

Hong Kong has now won two silvers and three bronzes in wheelchair fencing at these Games.
