M+ Museum is celebrating its second anniversary by offering visitors free access to its general admissions exhibitions and public programmes on November 12. Visitors can view the exhibitions in the B2, L2, and G areas of the museum without prior registration.
The events that can be visited for free include the special exhibition ‘Madam Song: Pioneering Art and Fashion in China’, Imagination Playground for families with children over four years old, and screenings of Chinese and Japanese animated films, Tromarama’s ‘Animation Rhapsody’, and the film Attenberg.
Visitors who are interested in entering the museum — renowned for being Asia’s first global museum of contemporary visual culture — for free can enter the premises from The Artist Square between 10am and 6pm without registration. However, in anticipation of there being a queue outside the museum, staff will close off the queue from 4pm onwards. M+ Members, Patrons, and visitors who have tickets for the ‘Madame Song’ exhibition can enter the museum through the Art Park Entrance and access the exclusive M+ Lounge on L11.
A standard general admission ticket to M+ usually costs HK$120, while concessions tickets — for students, children aged 7-11 years old, and senior citizens — are usually priced at HK$60. Tickets for special exhibitions cost between HK$70 and HK140.
