Cost rising to tie the knot


The Leisure and Cultural Services Department says couples will have to pay more for booking venues to hold wedding ceremonies starting from February 1 next year.

The new initial price for the first four fours at five outdoor venues in Repulse Bay Beach, Kowloon Tsai Park, Kowloon Walled City Park, Tai Po Waterfront Park and Sai Kung Waterfront Park will be HK$3,490 – HK$520 more than the current price of HK$2,970. Each subsequent hour will cost HK$290 instead of HK$230. The one indoor venue, Lei Yue Mun Park assembly hall, will have its initial rent raised to HK$3,670 – HK$500 more than the current price of HK$3,170.
