Sub-contractor in court over workers’ deaths

A construction firm boss appeared in court on Friday charged with the manslaughter of two workers who were found dead at an underground site near the Elements mall at the weekend.

Shum Yuk-kuen, 62, did not enter a plea during the hearing at Kowloon City Court and the magistrate adjourned the proceedings until December 27.
