HK women’s squash team have to settle for silver

Hong Kong captured the silver medal in the women’s team squash event at the 19th Asian Games on Saturday.

The team, who won gold at the previous games, lost 1-2 to Malaysia.

Tong Tsz-wing gave the territory a head start after beating Rachel Arnold 3-2 in match one.

Ho Tsz-lok, who was part of the winning team in Jakarta in 2018, unfortunately couldn’t beat Subramaniam Sivasangari in the second match, losing 0-3 to put the SAR and Malaysia at an overall tie.

Chan Sin-yuk and Aifa Binti Azman then went head to head in the crucial last round, with Malaysia coming out on top 1-3.

Fourth member Lee Ka-yi did not participate in the final, but contributed to their win against India in the semi-final match.
